What EC Takeoff does today

Built around one idea: AI should highlight probable devices and hand them to you for review — not hand you an unquestioned result. Every quantity stays traceable back to the sheet it came from.

Drawings

Multi-page PDF upload

Upload full drawing sets, organized into revisions with a current-set indicator.

PDF viewer

PDF.js-based viewer with page thumbnails, zoom, fit-width, and page navigation.

Revision compare

See what changed between two uploaded revisions of the same sheet.

Automatic analysis

Scale detection

Reads the drawing scale directly from the sheet.

Title block extraction

Sheet number, title, discipline, and revision read automatically per page.

Sheet classification

Distinguishes plans, schedules, legends, and details so counts don't pick up schedule rows or title-block text.

Fixture & device counting

Symbol detection

Detects lighting fixtures, exit/emergency devices, panels, and other electrical symbols on plan sheets.

Schedule matching

Matches detected tags against luminaire and panel schedules for description, wattage, and manufacturer/model.

Linear fixture runs

Traces continuous linear fixture runs and reports total length, not just a count.

Human-in-the-loop review

Sheet review queue

Low-confidence sheets are flagged for review — you correct sheet number, title, discipline, and scale before they count.

Approval is permanent

Once you approve a sheet, automatic re-analysis never silently overwrites your correction.

Takeoff & reporting

Takeoff items

Promote detected counts straight to your takeoff, or add and edit items manually.

Project report

Project info, sheet review completion, and quantity totals in one view.

CSV export

Export your takeoff items for your estimate.
